At Solar Bay we like to keep our clients as informed as possible and below we have placed a variety of informative and relevant news articles below including regular updates from Eskom.
Latest News At Solar Bay
October and November has seen many challenges with COVID-19 cases in both Cape Town and Johannesburg playing havoc with our work schedule but as per usual we continue to forge ahead.
The Solar industry as a whole is beginning to see the real effects of the lockdown with major supply issues due to backlogs at all the shipping ports. Canadian Solar and JA Solar panels are in short supply and as these are the only brands we recommend we continue to ensure that we buy in bulk whenever a container arrives at our distribution partners.
Solar Bay has also delayed the launch of our fantastic new product which we believe will make a massive impact on the industry. We are so confident that this system will be one of the biggest selling solar systems in the residential market that we have had to delay the launch to ensure that logistically we would be able to ensure we keep up with the demand. Unfortunately shipping delays and backlogs at the ports is not conducive to launch any new product and we therefore have pushed this back till January 2021.
Our staff continue to surpass our expectations and Solar Bay has embarked on our biggest recruitment drive where we are looking to double our teams. This means training and certification and will take time but we are confident that heading into 2021 we will have 4 teams serving the Western Cape and 3 teams in Gauteng.
Expansion is always something we are looking at and currently we have plans to expand our company into Kwa-zulu Natal at the start of 2021.
As always we would like to thank all our client's who are more than willing to work with us as we ensure a safe working environment for everyone. Your support and trust in our company has ensured our survival during the pandemic.
